![]() In my design I decided to turn the old mill into a multifunctional Library for the public to enjoy. The spaces in the Library include a coffee shop, classrooms, quite study spaces, and a art gallery for the young artist to show off their work. The east side of the mill has been bumped out to create space for the exit stairs and elevator. This gave me room to design my spaces. The orginal mateial of the mill is a bight blue sliding material, so when decide what I wanted to use I went with neutral colours to not having any clashing. Instead I chose a mix of wood sliding and stone veneer to have some Interest and texture without taking away from the original materials. Site PlanFloor PlansElevationsSection

Victoria SilvaI am currently in my last semester of the Architectural Technologist program at Sheridan College. I love designing and creating architectural designs in the modern and contemporary style. Although I also have a soft spot for traditional style homes. My hobbies include baking, cooking and going out for long walks with friends and family. My dream is to work on sustainable building that not only benefits the public, but also the environment. I believe that the future of architecture is going in that direction and I want to be a part of it! ArchivesCategories |
