When it comes to my design, what I decided to do was create a space for the younger population within the surrounding communities. My intent was to keep as much of the existing building as posible and not take away the natural beauty and history of the mill. By sticking to this plan I was able to come up with this design. Site PlanFloor PlansThe First Floor has two different stairwells which are both separated by a two-hour fire-rated wall. Along with that there is also a dining/lounge for people to gather in. There is also a bar area for people to come and get drinks on a hot or cold day. The Second Floor is more of a place to go when you want to relax. There is a little library which is intended to contain books about the area. There is also a computer lab with reliable internet access. The Third Floor consists of two pool tables, a ping pong table, a billiard table and a gaming area which can seat up to four individuals. Building SectionThis building section is cutting through the south face of the building. The sections cut is going through the new addition I am proposing. From this drawing you can see how the addition of modern windows and how they would attach to the existing building. ElevationsExterior material to stay the same in order to keep the history of the building. 3D Wall SectionTHANK YOUPDF of Drawings![]()
